«We are committed to comprehensive ecological, social and economic sustainability. This includes the Kurhaus, our offers for guests and our financing in equal measure. The structural substance of the Kurhaus is being renovated and expanded in an energy-efficient manner. The various offers for our guests are created and selected according to ecological aspects and durability criteria. We are a socially exemplary employer and are committed to Bergün. From an economic point of view, we are guided by healthy profitability that is not geared towards maximizing profits, solid self-financing and fair, attractive offers that are tailored to the respective guest segments.»

The following are a handful of examples of how this manifests itself in everyday life:

• Energy efficiency – our rooms are only heated when they are actually occupied – and automatically. This is possible thanks to our modern heating energy management system, which is linked to our reservation system. Incidentally, the energy for the entire operation is generated with a mix of pellet and oil heating, heat pump (spring water), heat recovery, photovoltaics and district heating.
• The menu includes an ecologically conscious offer with many regional products, whenever possible in organic quality. We call it «feinheimisch». Thanks to good contacts with local suppliers and producers, our head chef and his team are proud to be able to use high-quality food from close by.
• We are committed to the people in and therefore to Bergün. We actively involve our employees in optimization processes and promote targeted training and further education.
• No sustainability without profitability. However, maximizing profits is not a goal at the Kurhaus; rather, we work with solid self-financing and take care of fair, attractive offers tailored to the respective guest segments.
